School Health Program

MVHC offers a School Health Program centered on providing affordable, age-appropriate, confidential, and convenient comprehensive primary care services, including pediatric and adolescent care, to students and the surrounding community.

MVHC’s School Health Program offers two unique programs for schools: School Mobile Health and School-Based Health Centers. The School Mobile Health Program utilizes our fully equipped mobile unit with private exam room. We work directly with the school nurse obtaining parent/guardian consent for the visit. School staff will escort the patient to and from the mobile unit for the visit, upon completion of the visit the mobile team will call you with any recommendations and treatment plan. School-Based Health Centers utilize space designated by school districts to provide care on a specified schedule.

MVHC providers treat illness, as well as provide preventative care and well-child services. If your child is at school and becomes ill, the school nurse will evaluate the symptoms and determine if they warrant treatment that same day. The school nurse will notify the parent/guardian and seek appropriate care for your child with the MVHC medical team.

If needed, MVHC will utilize one of our MVHC Pharmacy locations for free prescription delivery in Coshocton, Guernsey, Morgan, and Muskingum Counties for your family’s convenience.  You can learn more about MVHC Pharmacy here.

Meet Our Providers

Amanda Day, APRN

MVHC School Mobile Health

Amanda earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management from Mount Saint Mary College and her Master of Science in Nursing from The Ohio State University College of Nursing. Amanda chose to leave her career in corporate retail and pursue her calling of becoming a Nurse Practitioner after losing a couple of close family members to preventable conditions. She has always had the desire to help others and wanted to be on the frontlines providing preventative care to children and helping them lay a foundation for a healthy future. Amanda has a special place in her heart for helping children struggling with their mental health.

A fun fact about Amanda is she and her soon-to-be husband have four rescue dogs! They enjoy hiking, gardening, and spending time with their family. Amanda hopes to get her doctorate in nursing in the future. She joined the MVHC Team in September of 2023.

Dana Israel, LSW

MVHC Foxfire School Health Center - Behavioral Health

Dana earned her Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Ashland University. She chose to become a counselor as she has a passion for helping people and wants to help them reach their mental health goals. Dana particularly enjoys working with patients who are battling anxiety. She feels she can relate to what they are going through, allowing her to better help them.

A fun fact about Dana is she is very crafty and loves making things! Dana previously worked at MVHC on our Social Determinants of Health Team as an Integrated Social Worker from May of 2020 to August of 2023 before rejoining the MVHC Team in September of 2024.

Courtney McCullough, APRN

MVHC Maysville School Health Center

Courtney earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Ohio University and her Master of Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner from Chamberlain University of Nursing. Courtney says she was called to nursing as she has always been a natural caretaker. When she started her career in nursing at the age of 16, she knew she wanted to become a nurse practitioner one day. After working as a nurse for 15 years, Courtney returned to school to fulfill that lifelong dream. She was driven to become more involved in the hands-on treatment of her patients, providing a holistic patient-centered approach. Courtney’s biggest passion in treating patients is symptom management. She receives such joy in helping her patients feel better and improving their quality of life by finding solutions to whatever has been bothering them.

A fun fact about Courtney is that she, her husband, and their three sons are pizza fanatics. They have pizza every Friday night, switching between homemade, store bought, and restaurant pizza. It is a tradition she and her husband started when they were dating and they have never broken it – even if they are traveling. Courtney joined the MVHC Team in May of 2024.

Kristen Tracey, APRN

MVHC Coshocton School Health Center

Kristen earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Master of Science in Nursing from Ohio University. While working as a nurse, she would hear from patients that they were uncomfortable discussing certain issues with their doctor. This inspired her to become a nurse practitioner, as she can connect with her patients making them feel comfortable discussing their concerns and medical issues. Kristen enjoys treating patients with a variety of conditions.

A fun fact about Kristen is she enjoys going camping with her family. Kristen joined the MVHC Team in January of 2024.

MVHC Maysville School Health Center - Behavioral Health

Julie earned her Bachelor of Arts in Child and Family Services from Muskingum University and her Master of Science in Social Work  from Ohio University. She is currently working towards her LISW licensure. Julie chose to pursue a career in social work as she has always had the heart to help others and wanted a job where she could help people live happier and healthier lives. She enjoys working with adolescents, particularly those dealing with ADHD, trauma, anxiety, substance abuse, and self-esteem issues.

A fun fact about Julie is that she is a mom to four teenagers! She enjoys watching her kids’ activities and spending time with her family and friends. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling with her children as much as they can. Julie previously worked in the intervention department at The Catholic Schools of Zanesville for six years before joining the MVHC Team. She joined the MVHC Team in June of 2022 as a member of our Social Determinants of Health Team, then became a Behavioral Health Counselor in October of 2023.

Anna Worthington, BSW, LSW

MVHC Coshocton School Health Center - Behavioral Health

Anna earned her Bachelor of Science in Social Work with a Minor in Psychology from Ohio University. She chose to become a social worker because she knows there is inconceivable power to be found in a helping hand, especially when we feel it is impossible. Anna feels this career path has allowed her to "learn daily, love unconditionally, and do good recklessly" while empowering our community. Her favorite patients to work with are adolescents, as she is drawn in by their vulnerability and unapologetic drive and determination.

A fun fact about Anna is that she enjoys listening to true crime podcasts in her free time! Anna joined the MVHC Team in February of 2023.
