School Health Program

Kristen earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Master of Science in Nursing from Ohio University. While working as a nurse, she would hear from patients that they were uncomfortable discussing certain issues with their doctor. This inspired her to become a nurse practitioner, as she can connect with her patients making them feel comfortable discussing their concerns and medical issues. Kristen enjoys treating patients with a variety of conditions.

A fun fact about Kristen is she enjoys going camping with her family. Kristen joined the MVHC Team in January of 2024.

Stacie says she has always been drawn to understanding people’s stories and helping them find ways to heal and grow. She says becoming a counselor felt like a natural extension of her desire to make a meaningful difference—helping others feel seen, supported, and empowered to navigate life’s challenges. Stacie particularly enjoys working with individuals experiencing anxiety, life transitions, or developmental challenges. She finds it rewarding to help people build coping skills, gain insight, and recognize their strengths as they move toward greater confidence and balance.

A fun fact about Stacie is that outside of work, she loves traveling to new places, spending time with her family, and playing golf. She also has a soft spot for mid-century modern design! Stacie says her husband is the direct descendant of a Catholic priest. After his grandmother passed away, his grandfather retired from dentistry at 55, entered the seminary, and was ordained in 1988. She says Father Watters could literally pull your wisdom teeth and forgive your sins in the same visit.

Stacie joined the MVHC team in October of 2025.

Anna earned her Bachelor of Science in Social Work with a Minor in Psychology from Ohio University. She chose to become a social worker because she knows there is inconceivable power to be found in a helping hand, especially when we feel it is impossible. Anna feels this career path has allowed her to "learn daily, love unconditionally, and do good recklessly" while empowering our community. Her favorite patients to work with are adolescents, as she is drawn in by their vulnerability and unapologetic drive and determination.

A fun fact about Anna is that she enjoys listening to true crime podcasts in her free time! Anna joined the MVHC Team in February of 2023. 

Julie earned her Bachelor of Arts in Child and Family Services from Muskingum University and her Master of Science in Social Work from Ohio University. She is currently working on her LISW licensure.

Julie chose to pursue a career in social work because she has always had a heart for helping others and wanted a career where she could support people in living happier, healthier lives. She especially enjoys working with adolescents with ADHD, trauma, depression, anxiety, substance use, self-harm, and self-esteem issues.

A fun fact about Julie is that she has a therapy dog, Hershey, who joins her at school a few days each week. Outside of work, Julie enjoys spending time with her children and traveling with them whenever possible.

Before joining the MVHC team, Julie worked in the Intervention Department at The Catholic Schools of Zanesville for six years. She joined MVHC in June 2022 as a member of the Social Determinants of Health team before transitioning to her current role as a Behavioral Health Counselor in the school-based health clinic at Maysville Local Schools.

Haley Roberts, APRN earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing - Family Nurse Practitioner from Mount Carmel College of Nursing. She chose to become a nurse practitioner because she always had the dream of helping people. Haley loves building a positive relationship with her patients and making them feel valued and listened to. She enjoys the variety of patients being a Family Nurse Practitioner provides her as she loves working with patients of all ages.

A fun fact about Haley is she tends to bees! In her free time she enjoys reading and adopting new house plants.

Amanda received her Bachelor of Social Work from Mount Vernon Nazarene University. She pursued a career in social work to advocate for individuals and contribute to healing a broken world. She hopes to help her clients regain confidence and improve their quality of life. Amanda previously worked in case management at Genesis Hospital. 

A fun fact about Amanda is her love for being a wife and mother. She and her husband met while he was deployed overseas. They spend a lot of time outdoors hunting, fishing or simply exploring God's creation. Her son is a yellow belt in Karate and continues to strive for another belt. Traveling as a family is what they enjoy most. Amanda joined the MVHC Team in April of 2019. 

Haley earned her Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work degrees from Ohio University. From a young age, she knew she wanted to pursue a career in social work because of her genuine passion for helping others. Haley says she became a counselor because she enjoys helping people work through difficult times and seeing them grow, build confidence, and reach their goals.

Haley enjoys working with children, teenagers, and young adults experiencing anxiety, depression, and life transitions because she likes helping them build coping skills and improve their overall well-being. She strives to create a supportive environment where clients feel heard, empowered, and equipped with the tools they need to navigate life’s challenges. She says it is rewarding to watch them gain confidence, recognize their strengths, and make positive changes as they work toward their goals.

A fun fact about Haley is that she loves watching Ohio State football with her family and friends, and she enjoys traveling and exploring new places.

Christina obtained her Master of Social Work degree from The Ohio State University. She says she became a Social Worker because she knew that she wanted to work with children and families to navigate life’s challenges and connect them to resources and interventions that would provide support and healing in their relationships. She enjoys school-based Social Work, helping to remove non-academic barriers to learning and improve their social and emotional wellbeing. Some fun facts about Christina: She once drove all the way to Texas in one day for a bucket list experience at The Alamo and Magnolia. She has also researched her family’s genealogy.
