Adult Health

Dr. Adesanya earned his Bachelor of Science in Biological Chemistry from The University of Chicago, and his Doctor of Medicine and Doctor of Philosophy from The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Dr. Adesanya credits his interest in becoming a physician to observing his father who is a foreign medical graduate who practices as a physician assistant in the U.S., and to a summer research program he participated in while in high school. He is excited to couple research with patient care to reduce the burden of health disparities in the underserved communities he knows as home. Dr. Adesanya has a particular interest in cardiovascular health, especially helping patients with the management of hypertension.
 
A fun fact about Dr. Adesanya is that he is an Illinois 4-H Alum and is currently a Columbus-area 4-H Resource Leader. Dr. Adesanya joined the MVHC Team in January of 2024 in partnership with The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

Tiffany obtained her Masters of Science in Nursing from Wheeling Jesuit University and brings years of experience in urgent care to the MVHC team. While Tiffany sees a variety of patients in the adult health setting, she does have a special interest in dermatology, including the removal of suspicious lesions, incision and drainage of abscesses, as well as foreign body removal.

Kyle is a Family Nurse Practitioner who was awarded a Bachelor of Science Degree from Ohio University and, later, a Master of Science Degree from the Ohio State University School of Nursing. He is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Before his employment at MVHC, Kyle was a registered nurse at Genesis Healthcare Systems. He practices at our South Zanesville office in both Pediatrics and Adult Health.

Macey earned her Associate of Applied Science in Nursing from the College of Southern Nevada, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Grand Canyon University, and her Master of Science in Nursing - Family Nurse Practitioner from South University. She knew from a young age she had an affinity to help others and became a nursing assistant while in high school before becoming a registered nurse. As a nurse practitioner, Haley loves that she can still embody the qualities of being a nurse with the ability to diagnose and treat patients and make a greater impact in their lives. She particularly enjoys treating and educating diabetic patients to ensure they can manage their disease properly and have a long fulfilling life.

A fun fact about Macey is she was born and raised in McConnelsville and recently moved back after living in Las Vegas for 15 years. She loves travelling, especially on cruises and to the beach. In her downtime, she enjoys spending time with her family and scrapbooking. Macey joined the MVHC Team in November of 2023!

Beth earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The Ohio State University and her Master of Science in Nursing from Wright State University. Beth is an APRN specializing in Family Medicine. She has been with MVHC since 2008.

Lucas obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Athletic Training and Sciences from Denison University, his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Ohio University, and his Master of Science in Nursing - Family Nurse Practitioner at the University of Toledo. He brings years of experience as a nurse practitioner to MVHC and has a strong passion for orthopedics. Lucas is driven to help his patients reach their health and wellness goals! In addition to adult primary care, Lucas specializes in non-surgical fracture care management, osteoarthritis care (including joint injection/aspirations), sports injuries, concussion care, suture placement/removal, and foreign body removal.

In his free time, Lucas enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter and living an active lifestyle. He is also an avid sports fan. Being a native of Zanesville, he is highly motivated to serve his local community. Lucas has been part of the MVHC Team since December of 2022. 

Emily received her Bachelor of Arts in Human Biology from Ohio University and her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Marietta College. She chose to go into the healthcare field as she wanted to help others and make an impact in a direct way. Emily has always had a passion for primary care. She enjoys forming relationships with her patients and working with them to find solutions for their different health issues.

A fun fact about Emily is watching Real Housewives on Bravo is her guilty pleasure! She also enjoys spending time with her husband, their cats, family, and friends. In her spare time, she also enjoys reading! Emily joined the MVHC Team in September of 2020. 

Rachel obtained her Master of Physician Assistant in Physician Assistant Studies at Chatham University in Pittsburgh. She brings six years of experience in primary care and urgent care to the MVHC team.

While Rachel will be serving many patients in the adult health setting, she does enjoy seeing patients who may need a little extra compassion, including diabetic patients and elderly patients learning to manage their medications.

Miranda earned her Bachelor of Arts in Microbiology from Miami University, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Capital University, and her Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner and Doctorate of Nursing Practice from The Ohio State University. She chose to become a nurse practitioner so she could have a more active role in the treatment and care of her patients. Miranda enjoys working with her patients one on one to help them face their unique challenges and helping them overcome barriers standing between them and their health and wellness.

A fun fact about Miranda is she grew up in Zanesville but lived in Cincinnati for three years. She has three dogs: Mylo, Mai, and Millie. Prior to joining the MVHC Team in January of 2024, Miranda worked at DispatchHealth conducting home medical and urgent care visits in the Cincinnati area.

Valerie earned her Associate of Science in Nursing from Fortis College, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain College, and her Master of Science – Family Nurse Practitioner from Mount Carmel College of Nursing. She chose to become a nurse practitioner as she finds joy and contentment in serving her community. Valerie finds it especially rewarding developing relationships with patients and families and knowing they willingly entrust her with their health. She enjoys being a safe space for all her patients and has noticed they feel comfortable sharing information with her that they might have been too embarrassed to disclose to other providers.

A fun fact about Valerie is she is a mom to four children and three pets! She enjoys experiencing new restaurants and going to comedy shows or movies with friends. Valerie joined the MVHC team in November of 2023.

Tina attended Ohio University for her Bachelor of Science in Nursing before graduating from Malone University with her Master of Science in Nursing.

Tina has previously worked with Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center, Genesis Healthcare Systems, and Superior Med. She has been with MVHC since 2015.

Adrienne earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Ohio University and her Master of Science in Nursing - Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner from Kent State University. She knew from a young age she wanted to work in the health care field, but credits her choice of specialty of Adult-Gerontology to spending time with her grandmother and accompanying her to medical appointments. Adrienne has a special interest in the endocrine system and helping patients with Thyroid Disease, Polycystic Ovarian syndrome (PCOS), and Diabetes.

A fun fact about Adrienne is she and her husband love traveling! They vacation in Mexico every summer. She enjoys snorkeling and exploring cenotes while there. Adrienne joined the MVHC Team in October of 2023. 

Tashia obtained her Master of Science in Nursing-Family Nurse Practitioner from Ohio University. Tashia has five years of emergency room nursing experience, which drove her passion to become a nurse practitioner as she saw the need for primary care access in the community. 

Dr. Todd Solomon obtained his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine and completed his internal medicine fellowship at Akron General Medical Center. He has 22 years of experience in an outpatient/inpatient internal medicine practice near Cleveland, OH. Dr. Solomon chose to go into medicine as he wanted to be in a position where he could improve the lives of others. He enjoys treating individuals with unaddressed risk factors where there is a great opportunity to intervene and help prevent disease.

A fun fact about Dr. Solomon is that he finished 4th in his division at the 2019 Bench Press Worlds in Tokyo. In June 2020, he finished 1st in his division at the Bench Press Nationals in Daytona Beach, FL.

Amanda graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Ohio University before earning her Master of Science in Nursing from The Ohio State University. Amanda has previously worked with Dr. Kalis, MD Inc. in Zanesville before joining MVHC in 2016.

Maddie earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Mount Vernon Nazarene University and her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Dayton. Growing up with Type 1 Diabetes, Maddie was immersed in the medical field. She credits her choice to become a physician assistant to the medical professional she met during her diagnosis. She was kind and patient with Maddie, which encouraged her to want to provide that for her own patients. Maddie’s favorite patients to treat are those who have diabetes as well as patients with chronic heart disease.

A fun fact about Maddie is she “love, love, loves” reading! Maddie joined the MVHC Team in March of 2024.

Dr. James Brown earned his undergraduate degree from John Carroll University and his Doctor of Medicine from Northeast Ohio Medical University. Dr. Brown didn't grow up planning on being a physician. He grew up with a family of pipefitters and entered the workforce in the construction and automotive industries. While attending John Carroll University, he fell in love with biology leading him to pursue medicine. Dr. Brown has a special interest in treating patients with diabetes and cardiac-related issues.

When Dr. Brown isn't helping his patients, you can find him golfing or woodworking. He says while he loves golf, you wouldn't be able to tell by looking at his scores. His woodworking skills are a bit more fine-tuned. Dr. Brown joined the MVHC Team in August of 2023. 

Jacob earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Muskingum University and his Master of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University. He initially chose to become a nurse after his sister was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. After working in Critical Care as a nurse, he felt called to provide a higher level of care, leading him to become a Nurse Practitioner. Jacob particularly enjoys helping patients with chronic and complex diseases, especially diabetes, as managing this disease significantly reduces cardiovascular risks.

Before joining the MVHC team, Jacob worked at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center and Genesis HealthCare System. He grew up locally and plans on staying in the area to raise his family here. He loves being able to help the communities that he grew up around. A fun fact about Jacob is he has a serious love of “Dad Jokes”. His teammates even got him a sign for his desk that says “Dad Jokes Told Here”!

Dr. Dundr completed his medical degree at Ross University School of Medicine and his training at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida. Dr. Dundr joined MVHC in 2018.

Heather is a lifelong Morgan County resident. She graduated from Washington State Community College with an LPN certificate, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Master of Science in Nursing from Ohio University. Heather worked at Genesis Healthcare for six years before obtaining her Associate Degree in Nursing and becoming an RN. Heather continued to work in patient care always working in direct patient care. During her last four years at Genesis, she worked in Critical Care. Heather began working with MVHC in 2016.

Cara attended Ohio University for her undergraduate studies and went on to obtain her Master of Science in Nursing from Otterbein University, graduating with Honors.

Cara worked for Genesis Healthcare Systems for nearly 13 years and is a previous member of the Lean Six Sigma Process Improvement team, as well as the Clinical Advancement Program at Genesis. She has been with MVHC since 2015.

Dr. Ronald Kalchik obtained his medical education at the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his internal medicine residency at Lansing General Hospital in Michigan.

Dr. Kalchik joined the MVHC team in August of 2022 and he brings over 36 years of experience to the MVHC team. 

Dr. Kelso earned his Doctor of Medicine in Primary Care from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He always wanted to be a family doctor and have patients of all ages. Dr. Kelso particularly enjoys helping patients who are struggling with metabolic health issues.

A fun fact about Dr. Kelso is he has climbed Grand Teton and Mount Rainier! Before joining the MVHC Team in October of 2023, Dr. Kelso worked at Primecare of SEO for over 20 years!

Amelia obtained her Associate of Applied Science in Nursing from Central Ohio Technical College and her Bachelor of Science in Organizational Communication from Ohio University. She specialized in emergency nursing before attending Walden University to obtain her Master of Science in Nursing Degree to become a Nurse Practitioner. She is board certified in Family Practice.

Martha earned her Associate of Applied Science in Nursing from Hocking College, her Bachelor of Business Administration from Ohio Valley University, and her Master of Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner from Otterbein University. After a long career in nursing, she decided to become a nurse practitioner as this would allow her to diagnose and offer more support to her patients. Martha’s favorite patients to treat are the ones who are willing to put in the work to improve their health.

A fun fact about Martha is she is an avid horse rider and camper. They enjoy traveling all over the United States in their horse trailer, camping and riding. Martha joined the MVHC Team in April of 2024. 

Andrea attended Kenyon College, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology before continuing on to Marietta College to obtain her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. Previously, Andrea worked with the Community Health Center of Fort Dodge and Primary Health Care Inc, both Federally Qualified Health Centers in Iowa. She has been with MVHC since 2015.

Angela obtained her Master of Science in Nursing from the Franciscan University of Steubenville. She brings experience in both family medicine and intensive care to our team. Angela became a nurse practitioner because she wanted to have a larger role and impact in the lives of her patients. She enjoys treating patients and empowering them to take control of their health after a new diagnosis. She loves to see their hard work pay off.

A fun fact about Angela is that she enjoys camping, hunting, and visiting different national parks.

Carlene completed her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Ohio Dominican University. She chose to go into healthcare because she loves science and helping others. Carlene wanted to become a physician's assistant to help increase access to healthcare in underserved areas. Her previous work in a nursing home sparked her enjoyment of working with the geriatric population. Carlene enjoys helping her patients address their concerns as a team and finding a treatment that fits their lifestyle.

A fun fact about Carlene is that she and her husband grew up together as their dads were best friends! Carlene completed her student clinical rotation at MVHC before joining the team in February of 2022. 

Lora earned her Associate Degree in Nursing from Collin Community College, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Muskingum University, and her Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner from Ohio University. Starting at a young age, she had a desire to care for others which influenced her decision to become a nurse in 2001. Lora has worked in many areas of nursing throughout her career, but always wondered about the patients after they left. She wanted to be able to be more hands on in the treatment of patients and help them reach their health goals, so she decided to become a Family Nurse Practitioner. Lora enjoys connecting with her patients and building a relationship with them so that they feel confident in the care they receive.

A fun fact about Lora is she enjoys seeing different architectural buildings and baking with her grandchildren. She is always looking forward to new adventures like kayaking, taking a cruise with her family, and experiencing new cuisine. Lora joined the MVHC Team in March of 2024.
